چکیده
The autocatalytic photochemical reaction, which is potentially controlled by any selected nucleic acid, is highly sequence specific and not inhibited by its products, was developed. This reaction generates colored and fluorescent products, which can be monitored by the naked eye.

A novel high-yield synthesis of aminoacyl p-nitroanilines and aminoacyl 7-amino-4-methylcoumarins: Important synthons for the synthesis of chromogenic/fluorogenic protease substrates
Aminoacyl p-nitroaniline (aminoacyl-pNA) and aminoacyl 7-amino-4-methylcoumarin (aminoacyl-AMC) are important synthons for the synthesis of chromogenic/fluorogenic protease substrates. A new efficient method was developed to synthesize aminoacyl-pNA and aminoacyl-AMC derivatives in excellent yields starting from either amino acids or their corresponding commercially available N-hydroxysuccinimi...
متن کاملHybridization and reaction-based fluorogenic nucleic acid probes.
We developed fluorogenic probes, which are photoactivated in the presence of specific nucleic acid templates with the release of fluorescent dyes. This templated reaction can be used to target specific nucleic acids in complex mixtures. We further demonstrate that this reaction can be monitored by single-molecule fluorescence imaging.
متن کاملComparison of the anticoagulant response of a novel fluorogenic anti-FXa assay with two commercial anti-FXa chromogenic assays.
INTRODUCTION Fast and accurate monitoring is crucial in the successful regulation of coagulation therapy. For the treatment of venous thromboembolism, both unfractionated heparin (UFH) and low molecular weight heparins (LMWHs) are commonly administered. The chromogenic anti-factor Xa (FXa) assay is currently considered the 'gold standard' assay for monitoring LMWH. However different commercial ...
متن کاملSingle Nucleotide Polymorphism Detection Using a Biocompatible, Fluorogenic and DNA-Templated Reaction of Cyanine Dye Formation
Water-soluble Peptide Nucleic Acids (PNAs) functionalised with fluorogenic cyanine dye precursors (i.e. a Fisher’s base aldehyde and a 2-methylene indolenine) are employed for detecting single-nucleotide polymorphism in vitro under near physiological conditions of salt and pH. This quick and versatile fluorogenic system has been designed so that fluorescence is formed only upon simultaneous hyb...
متن کاملAutocatalytic sets in a partitioned biochemical network
BACKGROUND In previous work, RAF theory has been developed as a tool for making theoretical progress on the origin of life question, providing insight into the structure and occurrence of self-sustaining and collectively autocatalytic sets within catalytic polymer networks. We present here an extension in which there are two "independent" polymer sets, where catalysis occurs within and between ...
